Meet The Owner!
My name is Neli Kenney, and I’m the owner of Philosophē.
I’m proud to have started my career here—back when the salon was half its size and had a completely different aesthetic. Over a decade later, I still can’t believe I’ve come full circle. Philosophē was the very first salon I worked at, fresh out of beauty school as an apprentice, and it’s been the most meaningful chapter of my life. Being entrusted with the legacy of this space by Christina Elfar—the original CEO and visionary behind Philosophē—is an honor beyond words.
Having known so many of our original clients from the beginning, we’ve been able to create an experience that shows new clients exactly why people continue to choose us. We take pride in our intimate, personalized approach to hair and self-care—because services like these should never feel transactional. In an industry as expansive as ours, it’s essential that clients feel truly seen, heard, and valued.
As a working mom and entrepreneur, I’ve always dreamed of creating a space where our passions, challenges, and milestones are embraced as part of our shared human experience—not something kept separate from our work. This is such a large part of what makes us special. I’m endlessly grateful for our team; I couldn’t do this without them. We put our whole hearts into what we do, and I believe that’s what will carry us forward into this exciting new era.
